Inspection and cleaning

• Disassembly and inspection of all parts, apertures, and ceramic/metal bonds

• Polishing and cleaning as needed

Replacement of FEG or TEM emitter

• Replacement of used tips with new ZrO/W emitters

• Installation of emitter to original geometrical specifications

• Evacuation, bake-out, and outgassing of refurbished module

• High voltage condition of gun module and flange

• New filament I(V) data collected and extraction voltages for several angular intensity values recorded

• All assemblies and modules are realigned and tested prior to being returned to the customer
