Borides

Applied Physics Technologies offers LaB₆ & CeBix rods and disks that are zone refined, single crystal material oriented to within 2º. Metal impurities are less than 30 parts per million by weight. Rods and disks are centerless ground to the diameter specified, +/- 0.1mm. Rods are rough cut to equal or exceed the specified length, and neither face is polished. Disks are polished on one face and the cylinder surface. The backside is dressed to length, +/- 0.1mm

Carbides
